Chemical properties: Colorless, clear, pale, viscous liquid, odorless, sweet in taste, hygroscopic. It can lower the freezing point of water. It is miscible with water, lower aliphatic alcohols, glycerol, acetic acid, acetone and similar ketones, aldehydes, pyridine and similar coal tar bases, slightly soluble in ether, and almost insoluble in benzene and its homologues, chlorinated hydrocarbons, petroleum ethers and oils. pH 6-7.5(100g/L,H2O,20℃).
