Basic information

Chemical properties: Colorless viscous aqueous solution, odorless, sour taste. It is prone to getting too cold and becoming glassy. After appropriate dilution, it has a comfortable sour taste. 88% of phosphoric acid, when left in a cold place for a long time, often crystallizes (melting point 29.32℃, hemihydrate phosphoric acid). It becomes anhydrous at 150℃, gradually turns into pyrophosphoric acid at about 200℃, and becomes metaphosphoric acid above 300℃. Miscible with water, miscible with ethanol. pH 1(1g/L,H2O,20℃). Melting point: 19-21℃. Boiling point: 158℃/760mmHg(85%). Density ρ(20) : 1.685-1.700g/mL.

Usage: Mainly used in the phosphate industry, electroplating, polishing industry, sugar industry, compound fertilizers, etc. Determination of chromium, nickel and vanadium in steel; Metal rust prevention; Catalysts for ethanol production; Determine non-protein nitrogen, urea nitrogen, total cholesterol and whole blood glucose in serum; It is used as an acidulant, yeast nutrient, etc. in the food industry.
