Basic information

Chemical properties: Colorless to pale yellow liquid, odorless or with a smell similar to ozone. It decomposes rapidly and foams when exposed to oxides or reducing substances, and deteriorates easily when exposed to light. It is miscible with water, soluble in alcohol and ether, but insoluble in benzene and petroleum ether. pH 2-4(H2O,20℃). Melting point: -33to-26℃. Boiling point: 108℃/760mmHg. Density Rho (20) 1.1008 g/mL (27.5%), 1.107 to 1.115 g/mL (29-31%), 1.132 g/mL (35%), 1.153 g/mL (40%), 1.1958 g/mL (50%), 1.218 g/mL (55%), 1.240 g/mL (60 %). Refractive index n20/D1.335. Flash point: 224.6℉/107℃.

Usage: Oxidizing agent; Bleach; Drop analysis was used to determine calcium, cobalt, copper, manganese, titanium, vanadium, ammonium and chromic acid. Chemical synthesis.
